The Storm Team

Where do you train?

We train out of Streatham Ice and Leisure Centre, 390 Streatham High Rd, Streatham, London SW16 6HX.

How do I get to the rink?

The rink is a 5 minute walk from Streatham Rail Station, and a 15 minute walk from Streatham Common Rail Station. There are numerous bus stops close to the rink, and there is also on-site parking.

When do you train?

The Elite and Division 1 teams train Mondays 21:00 - 22:30; this session is invite only. We also have open, beginner-focussed trainings on Fridays 19:15 - 20:15. If you are unsure which session would work best for you, please do get in contact with us to talk it through. Please let us know if you would like to attend our open session at least a day in advance!

How much does training cost?

Monday training costs £15 per session, Friday training costs £10 per session; however, your first session with us will be free! Monthly subs and annual subs are available as an option to regularly attending players. There is also a league-set insurance fee after your third training with us.

Do I have to have my own kit?

We have several sets of player kit that we are happy to lend out! However, if you are planning on playing hockey long term we do recommend buying your own kit, most importantly your own skates and helmet. Please do get in contact with us about buying kit as we may have some secondhand pieces of kit available to purchase from the club.

How good does my skating need to be in order to train with you?

In order to get the most out of our trainings, we recommend that you need you to be able to start, turn and stop to some degree. Otherwise any ability level is absolutely welcome!
